Did you know that one cup of coffee consists of 98% water? Then it is no surprise that the coffee flavor is largely dependent on the water quality with which the coffee is brewed. Following, Braun and the renowned Brita Company have together developed a water filter especially designed to be fitted to the AromaDeluxe and FlavorSelect product range. As water flows through the filter, the activated carbon reduces chlorine tastes and other impurities, while the ion exchange resin acts like a magnet, binding to its surface calcium and other materials. This allows coffee to reveal its full, seductive flavor while preventing the calcification of the brewing unit. The filter cartridge is designed to last for two months of use. The water filter memory dial placed on top of the coffeemaker serves as a reminder when the water filter should be replaced.
